Went on an unexpected quadruple date (because Falmouth is that small) to see the Avengers Assemble. Best film I have seen in a very, very long time. Every character is beautiful. Even the random people on S.H.I.E.L.D’s boat-plane and Samual L Jackson is, of course, epic. Even Loki, the bad guy, has wonderful eyes. The monsters aren’t beautiful but Captain America makes up for all their little ugly faces. And Robert Downey Junior… ‘nuff said. Thor is hard as fuck with his smashey hammer and Hulk actually owns at everything, even comedy value. I’m not a huge fan of Hawkeye/Legolas/whatever but Scarlett Johansson makes it all better. Overall… I didnt want it to end. I need to see it again. Bring on Orange Wednesday.
